Dear Marilyn

I am in receipt of the above mentioned order.

Though I am very pleased with the quality of the material. I was disappointed to see that I have been charged £.5.60 for shipping, but according to the franked postage of the package it was only £2.36. I really feel that this is rather an overcharge.

I would be interested to hear your comments on this matter.

I am pleased the quality of goods received still meets your satisfaction, however I was dismayed to hear you were not happy with the postal charges. We do add on a small amount for packaging etc, however £5.60 does seem rather excessive. I have reviewed your order, our postal charges and the weight of the goods on our website. I note that your order very nearly reached our free postage criteria, I have therefore refunded you your postal charges as a gesture of goodwill and to thank you for bringing this to my notice.

On this occasion I have found some disparity between weight and postal charges on a few items. The postal service changed all of their weight bandings and charges earlier in the year, when our system calculates the charges it adds the weights of the fabrics together and calculates the postal charge. What has happened with your order a couple of the fabrics had the wrong weight down which pushed your order over the first banding and you were charged at a higher rate. We give our parcels to a third party to frank and we get the bill later. I am in the process of correcting this problem and thank you again for bringing this to my attention. I should have this sorted in a few days. I will continue to review the charges on our website to ensure they are as accurate as possible and will check all postal charges prior to posting until the situation is fully rectified. I hope this meets with your satisfaction and you will continue to shop with us.
