This is a one day workshop for complete beginners which teaches you the first steps in learning the traditional craft of bobbin lace making.
Included in your Workshop:
- Getting to know the equipment used for bobbin lace making.
- How to prepare the pattern and pillow and winding bobbins for your first steps in lace making.
- Learning Whole Stitch and Whole Stitch Netting and combining them to form a basic lace sampler * Some of the history and traditions of bobbin lace making.
All equipment is supplied to you via a starter kit with a no obligation option to purchase on the day of the workshop.
Sarah has both many years experience, as well as a City & Guilds, in lace making and will be using this knowledge to take you on a lacemaking journey giving you a good understanding of lace making techniques and showing how you can introduce exciting craft this in to your own projects.
