Entrelac and Seamless Entrelac Cowl Knitting workshop with Fiona Morris
Sat 27th April @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm| £35
Entrelac is a modular technique where you knit triangular and rectangular sections with the stitches on the needle all the time.
Seamless Entrelac is the technique that allows you to knit a circular piece e.g. a cowl using Entrelac while still working backwards and forwards.
Entrelac involves knitting over a small number of stitches at a time, so you will also learn how to knit back backwards, getting over the problem of having to keep turning the knitting.
A cowl pattern will be provided as part of the workshop.
You will need:
- Chunky yarn e.g. Rico Melange or another chunky yarn
- 6mm or 7mm x 60cm circular needle (You can start on a straight needle but at the end of the 2 nd tier the cowl is joined in a circle).
- Stitch markers
Basic Entrelac, working base tier Entrelac triangles, working Entrelac rectangles, working the seamless Entrelac technique, working top tier Entrelac triangles, knitting back backwards.
